American novelist Anne Rice, who was born as Howard Allen O’Brien in New Orleans in 1941 is well known for her works about vampires and other supernatural beings.
The best-selling Vampire Chronicles, which centers on the immortal vampire Lestat, was written by Anne Rice, who was influenced by her New Orleans upbringing and personal misfortunes, including as the death of her daughter to leukemia.
